2017

  • Thai President Foods Public Company Limited was founded on 16 October 2017 as a result of merger between Thai President Foods Public Company Limited (“TF”) and President Rice Products Public Company Limited (“PR”) as a new entity under the original name of “TF”. This merger follows Sahapat Group’s restructuring plan to found a flagship company carrying out food business reducing complexity in shareholding structure. This new company is legally transferred assets, liability, duties and obligations of both companies with registered capital of 329,704,014 Baht. And on such a day, the company was registered as listed company in the Security Exchange of Thailand with the stock symbol “TFMAMA”. And the first trading day was 18 October 2017.
  • Thai President Food Public Company Limited duly received an appreciation certificate from Ministry of Labour for hiring and supporting the handicapped people. The appreciation was received on 9 June 2017 in accordance to the Section 33 and Section 35 of the Support and Develop Handicapped Quality of Life Act.

2016

  • New products continued to be developed. Several were launched in 2016 for both domestic and foreign markets, the major ones being: Cup Instant Rice Soup Minced Pork with Garlic and Pepper Flavor MAMA Brand, Jok Cup Instant Rice Porridge Shrimp Tom Yum Flavor MAMA Brand, Cup Instant Rice Noodles Tom Yum, MAMA Instant Rice Noodles 180 g, Whole Grain Rice Noodles 225 g PR Instant Rice Vermicelli 225 g and PR Instant Rice Noodles Coriander Flavor.
  • The Company’s AGM for 2016 was assessed as “excellent” by the Thai Investors Association, and was given a full score of 100 for the fourth consecutive year since 2013.
  • The Company received the “Very Good CG Scoring” for the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2016 Appraisal organized by the Thai Institute of Directors and was recognized as “Very Good” for 2016 AGM. It was among the Top Quartile Companies by Market Capitalization 3,000 – 9,999 million Baht for the fifth consecutive year since 2012.
  • Besides, the Company submitted a request for certification and membership of the Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC) on June 7, 2016; it passed the IOD certification process and became a CAC member for Q2 of 2016 on July 22, 2016.
  • With its strong determination to conduct business with the impact on communities and the environment and stakeholders’ interest constantly in mind, during 2016, the Company was awarded as follows:
    1. It was selected by the Thaipat Institute to be in the universe of “ESG 100” securities.
    2. It was awarded by the Ministry of Industry for operating a model for “water-conserving factories” for 2016.
    3. A certificate was presented to the Company for the standardized measures for prevention and solving of problems of narcotics in business premises.

2015

  • The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Session 1/ 2014, convened on April 23, 2014, passed a resolution to decrease the Company’s registered capital from 150,000,000 Baht to 149,704,014 Baht to be consistent with the number of shares issued and paid up. The capital decrease was registered with the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, on May 6,2014.
  • The Board of Directors Meeting, Session 8/2014, convened on August 19, 2014, approved the Company’s participation in the Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC). The Chairman of the Board of Directors signed the declaration which was countersigned in acknowledgement by the Chairman of the Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption Council on September 2, 2014. The Company has also appointed an anti-corruption working group tasked with making preparations for the certification process.
  • The Company won a CSR Recognition Award in the General Category of the CSR Award 2014 Contest organized by the Stock Exchange of Thailand on November 18, 2014.
  • The Company’s AGM was assessed as “excellent” by the Thai Investors Association, and was given a full score of 100 for the second consecutive year since 2013.
  • “Very Good CG Scoring” was given to the Company in the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2014 organized by the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Company was placed in the Top Quartile for 3,000-9,999 MB Market capitalization. The IOD revised the CGR criteria in 2014 to be in line with the ASEAN CG Scorecard which is based on 237 questions (the original number of questions was 148). The 2013 and 2014 results are perhaps incomparable.
  • The Company consistently pursued its efforts to develop products to satisfy consumers. New products introduced in 2014 were Mama Instant Rice Vermicelli “Bihun Goreng”; Chaiyo Kid Cup Jok with "minced pork and fluffy egg" and “chicken and scrambled egg” flavors; 3 mm., 5 mm., and 10 mm. straight noodles; and Mamy rice pasta whole grain fusilli 500 g.
  • On January 14, 2014, a fire broke out at the first factory located at number 115, Moo 15, Songpol Road, Tumbol Pakrad, Amphoe Banpong, Ratchaburi Province, causing partial damage to the factory but not damaging the production building and machinery. Normal production could be resumed on February 7, 2014. The damages were assessed at nine million Baht. The Company had insurance covering the property as well as machinery, stocks and spare parts. On December 24, 2014, a conclusion was reached with the insurer regarding claims, and the claim payments totaled 10.6 million Baht (as disclosed in Notes to Financial Statements, point 31.)

2013

  • The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Session1/2013, convened on April 24, 2013, resolved to increase the registered capital from 120,000,000 Baht to 150,000,000 Baht by issuing 30,000,000 new shares with a par value of one Baht each, through rights offering at a ratio of four old shares to one new share at a subscription price of 12 Baht per share. The subscription period was during May 27-31, 2013. The Company received payments totaling 356,448,168 Baht for subscription of 29,704,014 shares. Hence, shareholders’ equity (149,704,014 shares of issued and paid-up capital) is 149,704,014 Baht.
  • 2. The Company purchased 60,000 new shares of the Thai Instant Products Co., Ltd. at 21,500,000 Baht, which account for 25% of the shares.
  • 3. To satisfy consumer requirements, the Company remained committed to product development. Several new products were introduced: MAMA vegetarian tomyam rice vermicelli cup, MAMA radna rice vermicelli, and MAMA Jok cup Plus which came in four flavors: pork and seaweed, chicken and corn, salmon and vegetarian. The products were well received by consumers.
  • 4. The Company was certified by the Customs Department as an importer and exporter of  “Authorized Economic Operator” or AEO Standard.
  • 5. The Company received the “Excellent CG Scoring” for the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2013 Appraisal organized by the Thai Institute of Directors and was recognized as “Excellent” for 2013 AGM convention by the Thai Investors Association. In addition, it was honored with the Prime Minister’s Business Enterprise Award 2013 in the category of the Best AEC Business Enterprise, Second Group, with the value of exports to ASEAN markets of 50-200 million Baht. The awarding was organized by the Thailand Institute of Design and Innovation Promotion, Department of International Trade Promotion.

    The Company is granted the certification from the Ministry of Labour on September 3, 2012 to certify that Thai President foods PCL, Sriracha Factory is a safety workplace where has no severe accident which may cause the employee to have a leave for 3,250,495 consecutive working hour during the period from July 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 following Zero Accident Campaign. click for details
  • Carbon Footprint
    To express our concern on the reponsibilities and our good care of environment, the Company notifies the amount of Carbon Footprint on "Mama" package of Shrimp Tom Yum Flavour and Minced Pork Flavour. Such measures have represented our practice of information disclosure in order to be the choice of consumers who are in good environmental concern. click for details
  • CSR-DIW 2012
    TF Rayong and Lamphun Factory have passed the standard and received CSR-DIW 2012 awards and certificates in the project to encourage social responsibility with surrounding community held by Burean of Public Participatory Promotion, the Department of Industrial Works. click for details

  • Lumphun Factory has received "Good Environmental Governance Award" from Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry.
  • Sriracha Factory practiced Kaizen and QCC (Quality Control Circle) to improve the Productivity and the production system.
  • Sriracha snd Lumphun Factory have received "Green Industry Awards" 3rd Level of Green system for the systemic way of an Environmental Management System.
  • The company has joined 60% in investment with President Bakery PCL. and Kerry Flour Mills Co., Ltd. to establish "President Flour Mills Co., Ltd." in May 2011 with registered capital of 600,000,000 Baht. The factory is located in Rayong Province with its capacity of 60,000 tons/year.

2010

  • Sriracha Factory has passed the standard and received the certificate for the standard of Corporate Social Responsibiliteis (CSR-DIW) from Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry.
  • Sriracha Factory's RD &QC Laboratory has been improved with the advanced technology Equipment such as HPLC for Toxin Analysis, PCR for GMOs Analysis.
  • Rayong Factory have received Excellent Halal Award from the Central Islamic Council of Thailand-Rayong Office.
  • The Company boosted our foreign investment in Bangladesh by signing joint-venture agreement with Kallol Group,which was the local entrepreneur, to set up "Kallol Thai President Foods (BD) Limited" registered capital 400,000,000 TAKA (170,000,000 Baht) to manufacture and distribute "Mama" instant noodles in Bangladesh with its capacity of 17,000,000 Packs/year.
  • "High quality dried chilies Project" This pilot project was begun in 2010 at Huarua and Ponpang Sub-district in Ubonratchatanee Province to support local farmers to grow high quality chilies. The Company provided the knowledge of cultivation process, supported necessary equipment, and purchased the product at fair price. The Company hopes that local farmers who participated in this project could develop their products quality and raise their own living standard.

  • Launced premium products “Superbowl” 2 flavors – Pork Curry and Pork Knuckles TomYum with real pork contained in high technology retort packaging.

  • For the investment, the company has increased investment proportion in Lifook (Gingdao) Foods Co., Ltd. totaling 26.22 million baht resulting in the increase in the company’s portion of investment in Lifook (Gingdao) Foods Co., Ltd. from 19% to 49%
  • The company has joined in the investment with 4 People Foods Co., Ltd. for 13% of its registered capital.

2001

  • The company has increased instant noodle capacity in Lumphun Factory from 40 to 80 tons/day in July 2001 with BOI privileges.
  • Moreover the company has developed new taste for instant noodles such as Moo-Tom-Yam and Poh-Tak and new taste for biscuits such as Blueberry, Black Currant and Lemon-Sherbet.
  • The company has received “Haccp” certificate standard from SGS (Thailand) Limited on April 2, 2001 and “EFSIS” certificate standard from United Kingdom on October 8, 2001.
  • For foreign investment, the company invested 30% in President Foods (Cambodia) for manufacturing instant noodles in Cambodia.
