1) Project Name:

MAMA model to Promote Holistic & Sustainable Career for Families of PWD

2) Principle and Reason:

In the past, Thai President Foods Public Company Limited has supported Former employees who worked with the company Later, he had an accident on the road and became severely handicapped. and unable to help himself. They are family burdens. because there must be daily expenses to care for the disabled in the family due to being a severely handicapped person lying in bed. Therefore, the company has given funds according to the rights under section 35 to caregivers of people with disabilities instead. Therefore, in 2021, the management of Thai President Foods Public Company Limited has an intention to continue to support the two former employees with severe disabilities continue and have a policy to promote careers with disabilities. to employees of the company where persons with disabilities live in their families, including consideration for other families of Persons with Disabilities as appropriate.

Every project that the company supports must be in compliance with the rights under Section 35 of the Act on Promotion and Development of the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities. In the past promotion, the form of occupation or business Must be suitable for living conditions It has been assessed by professionals in career development for Persons with Disabilities. In the past, there were 9 forms, but in 2021 there were 20 forms of career development with disabilities, taking into account the experiences, readiness, former career of each family of Persons with Disabilities. Company guidelines of Thai President Foods Public Company Limited will support all 20 careers that have been developed from the evaluation of business feasibility that will enable caregivers and families of Persons with Disabilities.

We expect people with disabilities and their families to have income that can actually support themselves This is the intent of the law that allows the private sector to participate in promoting and improving the quality of life of Persons with Disabilities in Thailand.

For the year 2021, considering careers or businesses for families with disabilities will continue to support the 9 models that have been implemented over the past 3 years (2018 - 2020) that have been implemented in the past It is also open to individual families of Persons with Disabilities to offer careers or businesses. Which career should be appropriate to the livelihood and have “business possibilities for families of Persons with Disabilities” that will enable income generation, can actually take care of the disabled in the families. There will be experts on career development with Persons with Disabilities to give advice.

3) Key concepts for vocational integration of families of Persons with Disabilities:

5) Project objectives:

  • 1. To provide Persons with Disabilities, caregivers of Persons with Disabilities and related persons have a knowledge of rights of Persons with Disabilities according to the law on the employment of Persons with Disabilities and obtaining various rights properly
  • 2. To support Persons with Disabilities and their families with aptitude and experience in the career but also lose money to expand business capacity, increase income, enhance living status to be better happy and sustainable.
  • 3. To be a model for other establishments in Thailand to support the career of the disabled that can be practiced according to the law, Section 35 of the Act on Promotion and Development of the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities. To publicize the project that "Mama Model" promotes holistic & sustainable careers for families of Persons with Disabilities for all parties involved to acknowledge and apply to all parties especially the establishments that implement to reduce corruption in the rights of Persons with Disabilities throughout the country.

6) Operation procedure and processing time:

  • Within October 15, 2020, convene a meeting to summarize and set guidelines for action such as submitting a complaint, public relations to various factories in order for the personnel department to accept the matter to apply for their own employees.
  • 2. Within October 31, 2020, the personnel department of each factory public relations project Recruiting employees with the status of caregivers for Persons with Disabilities or having a Persons with Disabilities in the family and selected to participate in the project.
  • 3. Within November 15, 2020, project consultant Interview and prepare documents for submission of project approval request with the Bangkok Area Employment Office.
  • 4. Within December 15, 2020, submit a request for approval to approve the project with the Bangkok Area Employment Office.
  • 5. Between January 1, 2021 - April 30, 2021, transfer money to families of Persons with Disabilities to complete the project as approved by the project.
  • 6. Between 1 May – 30 June 2021, Human Resources Department and CSR department visit and deliver support for independent occupations for families of Persons with Disabilities.
  • 7. Within August 31, 2021, a summary of the results for further public relations and the project should be submitted to an international award contest.

7) Budget and target audience:

The main project for the promotion of sustainable occupations of families of Persons with Disabilities, 31 persons, valued 114,245 baht each, total value 3,541,595 baht (three million five hundred forty-one thousand five hundred ninety-five baht). The project is considered in order of support as follows:

  • 1. Two former employees who suffered from accidents until severe disabilities, total value 228,490 baht (two hundred twenty-eight thousand, four hundred and ninety baht only) by the caregivers using the rights on behalf of the disabled.
  • 2. Persons with Disabilities and their caregivers which are relatives of 25 employees of Thai President Foods Public Company Limited, total value 2,856,125 baht (two million eight hundred fifty-six thousand, one hundred twenty-five baht only), considering the relationship as parents Siblings, husbands, wives and children of company employees.
  • 3. Families of Persons with Disabilities affected by the defrauding of disabled rights under section 35 from Kalasin province, amounting to 4 cases, totaling 456,980 baht (four hundred fifty-six thousand, nine hundred and eighty baht only) by the caregivers exercising the rights on behalf of the disabled.

8) expected results:

  • 1. For Persons with Disabilities, caregivers of Persons with Disabilities and related persons can take knowledge of the law and various rights apply for yourself and your family to have access to rights. They can also recommend friends with disabilities themselves, families of Persons with Disabilities and those involved in the community to the right of Section 35 that is correct.
  • 2. So that Persons with Disabilities and their families who have aptitude, experience and knowledge who have been trained see examples of projects as models and use them as motivation and inspiration to access legal rights to access funds, related to the promotion and support of free occupation, such as the right under Section 35 of the Act on Promotion and Development of the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities, valued at 114,245 baht, etc.

Executive Summary:

Since 2011, when the Employment of Persons with Disabilities Law came into force, Thai President Foods Public Company Limited has always been in compliance with the law. both in the form of recruiting Persons with Disabilities to work under section 33 and in the form of promotion and support for Persons with Disabilities, caregivers of Persons with Disabilities and families of Persons with Disabilities under section 35 in terms of career and income.

Which is divided into 2 forms: Section 35 (3) contracting services and the promotion of independent career under section 35 (7), any other assistance during the year 2018-2020 The promotion of self-employment under section 35 (7) can enable families of Persons with Disabilities to earn income and developing 9 careers based on “Business Possibilities for Families of Persons with Disabilities”.

For the year 2021, Thai President Foods Public Company Limited has expanded to support 20 independent careers with 2 former employees who were injured in an accident until they became disabled in bed, and the current employees. with status 25 “caregivers for Persons with Disabilities” or employees with disabilities living together in their families, which is an important approach that management has for employees. For the year 2022 onwards, Thai President Foods Public Company Limited will continue to focus on former employees and current employees. with Persons with Disabilities living together in the family.
